At this point, it’s almost a cultural thing, because I know non-Catholics and atheists who do it, too, just because it’s an excuse to give up something they want to stop doing anyway.
yeah but down here it’s still a religious thing bc EVERYONE is a catholic. so if I say i’m giving up soda i get lectures on GOD WOULD WANT YOU TO DO BETTER and i’m like okay then uh. facebook, giving up facebook.
